About the Project
Groovy Grass is a Top-Down 3D Strategy game created for the 48-hour BUV Game Jam. The core concept revolves around battlefield expansion, requiring players to position their army tactically to overcome superior numbers.
Due to the strict 48-hour time limit, the design philosophy focused on scope reduction and game feel rather than complex feature creep.
My Contributions
- - Rapid Scoping: Cut 60% of proposed features on Day 1 to ensure we shipped a bug-free, polished loop.
- - Tactical Balance: Designed interaction rules (Fire > Grass > Water) that created depth without needing complex math.
- - On-the-fly Tuning: Sat with engineers in the final 4 hours to tweak movement speed and attack ranges for "snappy" responsiveness.
