About the Project
Raft Survivors is a Roguelike Tower Defense game where players command a drifting fortress. Unlike traditional static defense games, the base is constantly moving towards a destination, requiring players to manage resources on-the-fly.
The core loop is built on a tension between Expansion and Defense. Players must hook floating debris to gather materials, then decide whether to increase their raft's surface area or invest in automated turrets to repel incoming aquatic threats.
My Contributions
- - Gameplay Loop: The game loop should be fun and engaging across all levels
- - Progression: The game's progression of levels and power scale of the player should be balanced to maximize retention.
- - Monetization: The difficulty curve, card system and meta progression should encourage monetization from D7+.
- - Project Management: Optimize resources so the project should finish as fast as possible. All resources were located so well that there were nearly no underutilized resource during development.
